Have you ever played with tag clouds? I find myself fascinated with them The example below is one of my social bookmark sites on Diigo.
I routinely play with Wordle. I like to take an article, copy the text into Wordle and see if the author's point matches the word frequency he/she uses. They don't much of the time.
This makes for a fun activity for students.
Take two articles on the same topic.
Add two students plus one wiki and two Wordle instances.
Combine (have the students embed the word clouds in the wiki) and
draw conclusions.
This makes for some fun argument development! Try it - you'll see!
